St Ives. No seagulls on these rooftops, oh no, they're all down in the town mugging tourists for ice cream. Then, as evening comes, their fancy turns to pizza and chips. Pop into a street bar and watch the drama unfold over a beer or a cocktail.

Sunset with your wine? or rain?

There's a hotel in Barcelona with a rooftop bar where you can sit with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. 

There's a hotel in Penzance with a conservatory where you can sit with a glass of wine and watch the rainstorms. 

Everything is memorable, but not every memory is a great one until you find the right person to share it all with.

That Summer

 A setting sun on a Suffolk heath. A film baked in the heat of a hot summer day produces just a feeling of a place as it struggles to capture the details. Brown and blurry, you always make me smile.

Down in the ground

Wearied by life and now worn by time. A catalogue of the righteous.

By the side of the sea

A café in an old hall; blue walls, wooden floor and regulation tables and chairs. Staffed with efficiency, without the background of jazz and the need to banter. Old school, possibly literally. As a prelude to a late autumn beach it did its job.

Wonderful Whitby

 They packed them in, the shops the houses, the narrow streets between almost people-sized. So much history. A wonderful place to while-a-way quality time.
